Overview

This website and all services are operated by SET & MELT LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

By booking a private workshop, submitting payment, or participating in a Set & Melt experience, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and Event Policies.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not book or participate in our services.

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc., which provides the e-commerce platform allowing us to accept bookings and payments.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to book a private workshop.

By booking, you represent that you meet this requirement and have authority to host the event at the provided location.

2. Private Workshop Services

Set & Melt provides mobile, in-home candle-making workshops in Orlando and surrounding areas.

We bring materials and instruction. The host is responsible for:

Providing a stable table and adequate seating for all participants

Ensuring a safe and stable workspace

      Supervising minors at all times

Removing fragile or valuable items from the working area

We reserve the right to refuse, pause, or discontinue a workshop if conditions are unsafe.

3. Participant Release

Every participant must sign the Set & Melt Participant Release & Assumption of Risk before handling any materials. The host agrees to inform all guests of this requirement in advance.

A parent or legal guardian must sign on behalf of any participant under 18, and minors must be supervised by an adult at all times during the workshop. The host is responsible for informing Set & Melt in advance if minors will be present.

Set & Melt may decline participation to anyone who has not signed.

4. Booking & Event Confirmation

When booking, the client provides the requested event date and full event address.

All bookings are subject to review and confirmation by Set & Melt.

Your event is not confirmed until you receive written confirmation from us via email.

We reserve the right to decline or reschedule events if:

The location is outside our service area

The workspace is deemed unsuitable or unsafe

      Access restrictions prevent proper setup

Event details provided are incomplete or inaccurate

If we are unable to accommodate the requested date or location, the reservation payment will be fully refunded.

The host is responsible for ensuring that the provided address and event details are accurate. Set & Melt is not responsible for delays or cancellations resulting from incorrect or incomplete information.

5. Payment Terms

A reservation payment equal to the cost of one guest is required to secure your date. This payment is applied toward your total event balance.

Reservation payments are non-refundable, but we are happy to move your payment to a new date one time, subject to availability

Cancellations made more than 72 hours before the event may reschedule to a future available date

Cancellations made within 72 hours of the event are non-refundable

Final guest count is locked 72 hours before the event and becomes the minimum billing amount; guests who do not attend are still billed

Remaining balance is due on the day of the workshop, before the workshop begins, and may be paid by cash or card

If we cancel or are unable to accommodate your date or location, your reservation payment is fully refunded. Rescheduling due to severe weather or other circumstances beyond either party's control is handled at no charge.

We reserve the right to cancel bookings suspected of fraud, misuse, or abusive conduct.

6. Pricing

Workshop pricing is per guest and subject to change without notice.

A minimum of 4 guests is required for all bookings.

Pricing confirmed at the time of booking will be honored for that specific event.

Prices do not include applicable state or local taxes, which may be added where required by law.

7. Participation & Safety

Workshops involve heated wax, fragrance oils, pigments, and crafting tools.

By participating, you acknowledge and accept that:

Heated materials may cause burns if mishandled

      Fragrance materials may cause sensitivities

Spills or minor accidents may occur

Participants agree to follow all safety instructions provided by Set & Melt staff.

Failure to follow instructions may result in removal from the workshop without refund.

8. Assumption of Risk

Participation in a candle-making workshop involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

      Minor burns

      Skin irritation

      Accidental spills

      Property damage caused by participants

By booking or participating, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with the activity.

Candles must cure for a minimum of 24 hours before being lit. Participants assume full responsibility for the safe storage, handling, and burning of finished candles after the workshop concludes.

9. Property & Damage

Set & Melt is not responsible for:

      Pre-existing property damage

      Items left within the workspace

      Damage resulting from participant negligence

The host is responsible for preparing an appropriate and protected workspace.

10. Allergies & Sensitivities

Fragrance oils and crafting materials may contain compounds that cause irritation in sensitive individuals.

Participants are asked to disclose any known fragrance, skin, or respiratory sensitivity on the Participant Release before the workshop begins. Set & Melt cannot anticipate a sensitivity that has not been disclosed.

Participants attend at their own discretion.

11. Media Release

Set & Melt may capture photographs or short video clips during workshops for promotional and marketing purposes, including use on our website, social media, digital advertising, and printed materials.

All participants sign a photo consent as part of the Participant Release at the start of each workshop. Consent is opt-in and optional; declining does not affect participation.

A parent or legal guardian must provide consent for any participant under 18.

All media content created by Set & Melt remains the property of Set & Melt.

12. Force Majeure

Set & Melt is not liable for delays, rescheduling, or cancellations due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, emergencies, supply disruptions, or governmental actions.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Set & Melt shall not be liable for:

Personal injury resulting from failure to follow instructions

Damage to property caused by participants

      Indirect or consequential damages

Our total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid for the workshop in question.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be limited under Florida law.

14. Arbitration & Class Action Waiver

Any dispute arising from these Terms or services shall be resolved through binding arbitration in the State of Florida.

You waive the right to participate in any class action lawsuit.
